The following conditions apply:
To be capable of supporting the MNM applications, elements must
be MiVoice Business systems
have MCD Release 4.0 or later software
belong to an SDS Administrative Group
be sharing data via SDS.
The Admin Group Management application is intended for Admin Groups of up to 20 nodes. If the number of nodes exceeds 20, then the application will stop processing ALL Multi-node Management (MNM) functions (such as Reach Through, Group Alarm information, Ftp Backup, etc.) for ALL nodes in the group. Two software logs are also generated: one when the 20-node threshold is reached and a second when it is exceeded. Reduce the number of nodes in the Admin Group to 20 or fewer to re-start MNM processing.
The User Authorization Profiles must be shared across all members of the administrative group.
The current date and time must be set on each MiVoice Business system in the Administration Group. You set the "System Date and Time" through Server Manager (Configuration > Date and Time).
From MiVoice Enterprise Manager:
You can reach through to a System Administration Tool session on an element in an administrative group and then use the applications among the member elements.
If there multiple administration groups that support Multi-node Management applications in the network, you must launch a session on a member element in the specific group to use the applications within that group.
To simplify management of administrative groups, the Enterprise Manager administrator should configure User-defined groups that match the network Administrative Groups.
Multi-node Management applications do not require licensing.
After upgrading elements of a Multi-Node Administrative group, if the alarm levels of the elements displayed in the Admin Group Alarm Summary form are inconsistent, then you must refresh the alarm level by disabling and then enabling the alarm presentation information (Enable Application) in the Admin Group Management form.
